Public Hearing on Roanoke County Wind

Our coalition supports wind energy, both as a general air quality mitigation strategy and specifically in the case of the proposed Poor Mountain Wind Farm in Roanoke County.  We encourage health professionals, people with asthma and other air quality-related health issues, and the general public to publicly support these kinds of projects in pursuit of improved public health.

On March 1, the Roanoke County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to get input on its proposed ordinance for large and utility wind energy systems.
