July 2nd AQI Highest in Two Years

Yesterday’s 24 hour ave. for PM 2.5 ended up being  29.2 ug/m3  or an AQI of 87.   The highest in the past 2 and a half years.

A major culprit appears to be a fire in Botetourt County.  In previous years, fires from as far away as the Great Dismal Swamp have had an impact on regional air quality.
